What is a Ceramic Coating?

WHAT IS A CERAMIC COATING?

Ceramic coatings are very durable vehicle protection systems that offer extreme hydrophobic effect. It can be applied on paint, wheels, glass and plastic. The basic chemical composition of a ceramic coating is Silicon Dioxide (SiO2).

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

It depends on the coating you select, the environment in which the car is driven, & stored. Once 100% cured and bonded, ceramic coating is resistant to chemicals and will not wash away by strong shampoos and chemicals. However, taking your vehicle to automatic car washes that do the cleaning with brushes will reduce the lifespan of the coating. We recommend washing your vehicle only with microfiber towels. The only way to remove a ceramic coating is by abrasion which means by machine & cutting compounds.

BENEFITS?

They PROTECT your vehicle from UV rays, chemical stains, graffiti, dirt build up, bird droppings, tree sap, & more! It also prevents premature ageing and oxidation. This protection extends the lifespan of the original clear coat, which helps the vehicle to keep a higher value.

It ADDS a candy-like gloss that you can’t get with most waxes and sealants, and the best part is that ceramic coatings last for years unlike waxes and sealants.

Easy MAINTENANCE all year round!

WHY PAINT CORRECTION IS A MUST BEFORE APPLYING CERAMIC COATINGS?

All vehicles must be paint corrected, even brand new vehicles. The reason behind this is because if your vehicle is not being ceramic coated before it get exposed to the elements, light scratches and swirl marks will start to form. Getting the paint as close as we can to perfect will be a very important step. Once the ceramic is 100% cured and bonded there will be nothing left to do, any other than removing the coating by machine, to fix any paint imperfections.

THINGS THAT CERAMIC COATINGS CANNOT DO.

Ceramic coatings are great to protect you paint from the elements and other contamination. However, this hydrophobic layer is not a magic shield. Ceramic coatings don’t protect from hard scratches. Also, with ceramic coating you will still need to wash your vehicle but the process will be way easier than without a ceramic coating.
